Meet Our Instructors
A little about Blue Ocean Aquatics first
Blue Ocean Aquatics started in 2015 as lifeguard instructors to fill a need in the area for training services. Since starting, Kaitlyn and Nick have been training Lifeguards, medical professionals, camp professionals and a variety of others using the latest American Red Cross and American Heart Association science and techniques.
The goal has always been to provide a comprehensive service. We continued to expand our course offerings to meet the needs of others. For those that are just starting out as Lifeguards, we started building relationships with businesses to help place them in quality positions in the area.
We have trained hundreds of individuals in emergency response skills including Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, Responding to Emergencies, etc.
Recently, we added on the ability to train other instructors by getting certified to teach Lifeguard Instructors and Water Safety Instructors.
Kaitlyn has been a part of the aquatic world for more than 10 years. From her first lifeguarding job at her high school, to becoming a WSI and teaching year round.
She works with swimmers of all ages and abilities. She has worked with kids as young as 6 months, competitive swimmers, swimmers with special needs, adults and seniors.
In her spare time (which is really non-existent), she watches her favorite hockey team, the New York Rangers.
From competitive swimming to the Army, Nick has been training others towards bettering themselves. He is certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor, and an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor.
In addition to teaching classes, he also works with swimmers to help them improve their swimming. He specializes in helping swimmers and triathletes swim faster, while avoiding injury.
Nick serves as the marketer. He builds the website and the back end systems to educate and communicate with current and potential course participants.
