Assistant Aquatics Director- LuHi Summer Camps

Blue Ocean Aquatics is looking for an Assistant Aquatics Director to join our team. The Assistant Aquatics will work directly under the supervision of the Aquatics Director.

Location: LuHi Summer Programs, Glen Head NY

Dates: June 29, 2026- August 21, 2026 (No camp on July 3rd)

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:00pm

Experience: 4+ years of Lifeguarding experience in the camp setting.

Pay: $23-25/hr depending upon experience

Requirements/Essential Job Role:

• 21+ years of age.
• Must hold a valid Nassau County Lifeguard certification. Preference given to those who also hold a Water Safety Instructor certification.
• Must conduct and attend preseason orientations.
• Must obtain Lifeguard Management certification prior to the start of the season. Will be reimbursed upon completion.
• Supervise a staff of 6 Lifeguards and 10 Swim Instructors on a daily basis.
• Enforce rules and regulations.
• Conduct buddy checks.
• Maintain a clean environment.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and ready to work on a daily basis.
• Available for at least seven out of eight weeks of the summer.
• Must be able to work in a team setting with the rest of the Aquatics staff, as well as the LuHi camp staff.
