Lifeguard (Nassau County Certified)- LuHi Summer Camps

Blue Ocean Aquatics is looking for a certified Nassau County Lifeguards to join our team. Lifeguards will work directly under the supervision of the Aquatics and Assistant Aquatics Director. Lifeguards at LuHi Summer Programs will be under the direct employment of Blue Ocean Aquatics.

Location: LuHi Summer Programs, Glen Head NY

Dates: July 1, 2024- August 23, 2024 (No camp on July 4th & July 5th)

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 9:00-3:30pm

Experience: None needed, but 1 year of Lifeguarding preferred

Pay: $16-$19/hr depending upon experience.

Requirements/Essential Job Role:

• 16+ years of age.
• Hold a valid Nassau County Lifeguard certification.
• Valid CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
• Must attend preseason orientation.
• Supervise up to 75 campers both in and out of the pool.
• Enforce rules and regulations.
• Conduct buddy checks.
• Maintain a clean environment.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and ready to work on a daily basis.
• Available for at least seven out of eight weeks of the summer.
• Must be able to work in a team setting with the rest of the Aquatics staff, as well as the LuHi camp staff.
