Swim Instructor- Sportime Kings Park

Blue Ocean Aquatics is looking for a Swim Instructor to join our team. Swim Instructors will work directly under the supervision of the Aquatics Director. Swim Instructors at Sportime Kings Park will be under the direct employment of Blue Ocean Aquatics.

Location: Sportime Kings Park

Dates: June 27, 2024- August 30, 2024 (No camp on July 4th & July 5th)

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 9:00-3:30pm

Experience: At least 1 year of teaching swimming lessons to children ages 4-12 year old in both a group and private setting

Pay: $15-18/hr depending upon experience

Requirements/Essential Job Role:

• 16+ years of age.
• Must hold a valid certification in one of the following: Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid or Water Safety Instructor. Preference will be given to those who are certified WSI.
• Must attend preseason orientation.
• Implement and teach swimming lessons to groups of children ranging from 4-12 years old.
• Ability to teach in a large group setting.
• Enforce rules and regulations.
• Conduct buddy checks.
• Maintain a clean environment.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and ready to work on a daily basis.
• Available for at least eight out of ten weeks of the summer.
• Must be able to work in a team setting with the rest of the Aquatics staff, as well as the Sportime camp staff.
